Forged in the wild

I’m Jonathan Labarre, a French videographer. After living three years in Northern Norway, I moved to Oslo in 2024.
Adventure has always been a defining part of my life. Through expeditions, endurance projects and countless days spent outdoors, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for wild places, perseverance and the quiet moments that often get unnoticed.
Filmmaking began as a way to document those experiences. Over time, it became much more than that. I realized that while landscapes can be breathtaking, it's the stories, emotions and purpose behind them that people truly remember.
Today, adventure still shapes every film I create. Whether I'm filming in the mountains or inside a company, my approach remains the same: stay curious, understand first and let the story lead the way.
The bear behind the brand
Pihoqahiak (pronunciation pi - ho - kayak) means "polar bear" in Inuit language and signifies "the one who wanders endlessly”. A name and logo that represent my values. Not only do I love polar bears, but I also love what they symbolize: power, strength and endurance, but at the same time also the fragility of the environment that I deeply wish to preserve.
